a haiku, a book recommendation, a surprise – a multipurpose post

I love Bjorn‘s haikus – click on his name to see the one I read today. The photo and the word both bring me such calm. I was inspired to write my own.

that view is my calm

And then, when I logged on this morning, wordpress was wishing me Happy Anniversary! Apparently it’s a year since I first blogged – nice surprise πŸ™‚

Finally, I’m mixing this post up rather than do multiples in one day.. yesterday I finished Wolf Pear by fellow blogger/author Dianne Gray. Β What a story! I am having so much fun discovering new (to me) authors via becoming blogging buddies. Dianne’s book blew me away. I have also read some of her short stories (Manslaughter and Other Tears) and a testament to her talent – she writes in different styles, different voices.

Wolf Pear has fascinating characters and a disturbing but unputdownable story (yes unputdownable is a word). I’m so glad I stumbled across Dianne however I did.. Click on the book cover to be taken to the Amazon page to buy it πŸ™‚ and/or read reviews.
