carpe diem haiku challenge : double peony

Chevrefeuille’s latest challenge – a new form of haiku ‘troiku’, why not try it out ?

First, the sleigh from Chevrefeuille :

pink flowers bloom
between green dewy leaves
a double peony

and then my response…

(horse 1)

pink flowers bloom

My mind wanders to their scent

Deliciously light

(horse 2)

between green dewy leaves

Blossoms lifting to the sky

Not shy at all, proud

(horse 3)

a double peony

Surprise act in the midst

Stands out from the crowd
