the 11th possibility

Rarasaur has created “Prompts for the Promptless” and in the second week asks us to make a post around the concept – the 11th possibility.

“The 11th Possibility is the idea that, regardless of data to the contrary, something unexpected and outside the realm of ordinary thought is always potentially around the corner.”

That this tiny little blue thing on the beach even exists is weird.

That it can cause intense pain is surely…the 11th possibility…

  1. What a great example! I can think of a hundred little blue things that might be found on a warm friendly beach, and only this one could cause pain. And you’re also right that it’s very existence is an example of the 11th possibility. 😀 Great take! Thanks for participating in Prompts for the Promptless! 🙂

  2. These can really sting 😦 I remember when there were heaps of dead ones on the beach one day when my brother and I were young so we decided to ‘pop’ them with our thongs. That night my legs were SO sore because pieces of them had splattered on my legs (LOL – never did that again!) 😉

  3. Had the stinger of one down my swim shorts when I was a kid in Hawaii. Definitely the 11th possibility.

  4. Nice one! I’m starting to feel like I maybe didn’t fully understand the prompt… Hmm, I guess mine was still unexpected. But, your response certainly fits it better.
