“Wu wei, or non-doing, is a Taoist practice involving letting one’s action follow the simple and spontaneous course of nature rather than interfering with the harmonious working of universal law by imposing arbitrary and artificial forms.  In other words, it is the action of non-action.”

  2. A beautifully true haiku. 🙂 I love the plant photos– that pretty flower is the essence of wu wei! Thanks for participating in Prompts for the Promptless! 😀

  3. Nice. Sums it up, the way haiku does. 🙂

  4. Non-doing…wonderful concept to get things done.

  5. Lovely, yet so contrary to the messages being broadcasted in today’s world!

  6. Wu wei sounds exactly what I need at the moment – the action of non-action. I love it 😀

  7. Rara is like a zen master giving us koans. Great interpretation of wu wei, Annie. Life is so intelligent that it just happens. Love that.

  8. Beautiful Haiku and photos, loved them.

  9. Just let go!

  10. Great shot my friend , I Love it 🙂

  11. Found your blog through a prompt page on Art of Leo. I am not a haijin, but a reluctant poet in training. Loved some of the thoughts and images (the other thoughts and images, not just the poetry) here. Liked your about page too. I too am deeply influenced by the ideas found in Buddhism, though am an atheist by religion. Will be looking out. 🙂
